About the Series

A generation transformed by technology and social interactions, largely digital in nature, today's teens are redefining what it means to build community and effect change. Student Reporting Labs journalists explore the different ways teens are making their voices heard and feeling empowered by recent youth-led movements focused on issues directly impacting their lives, including school safety and gun violence.

This series features dozens of student-produced pieces that capture how young people are spurring to action in their communities and forging new channels of civic engagement to bring their hopes and visions for their future into reality.
